American country music singer and songwriter who's best known for his second album Purgatory which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart.
He used to sing in the church choir and started to play guitar and write songs at the age of 13.
He graduated from Paintsville High School in 2009.
His father worked in the coal industry and his mother worked as a nurse.
He worked with singer Sturgill Simpson on his album Purgatory.
