Also known as Wolf Haley, he is best known for being the leader of the alternative rap group Odd Future . In 2011, he won an MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist. He also won Best Rap Album at the Grammys in 2020. To date, he has made 9 studio albums.
He decided he wanted to make music at age seven and taught himself how to play the piano at age fourteen.
His real name is Tyler Gregory Okonma. His first official studio album, Goblin, reached #5 on U.S. charts and #1 on U.S. R&B charts.
His father abandoned him, his mother, Bonita Smith , and his sister, Lynda. He also has a step brother. In 2022, he became romantically linked to model Reign Judge . The couple later separated.
He helped Frank Ocean gain fame as a member of Odd Future.
