Pitcher who played an integral role in the Tampa Bay Rays ' run to the 2020 World Series as one of the team's primary starting pitchers.

He played high school baseball for William S. Hart High School in California. He was taken in the 5th round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates , who he signed with shortly thereafter.

He started two clinching games for the Tampa Bay Rays during the 2020 MLB playoffs. He made his MLB debut with the Pirates in July 2016.

His parents' names are Greg and Donna. He has one older brother named Ted.

He was a member of the Tampa Bay Rays' starting pitching staff during their 2020 World Series run alongside Blake Snell .
