ABOUT TYRESA SMITH
Professional basketball player known for her well-rounded game, debuted in the WNBA for the Detroit Shock in 2007.
She played high school basketball at Polytech High School and led the team to a state championship in 2003.
Playing at the University of Delaware in 2007, she was named the Colonial Athletic Association's Defensive Player of the Year after leading the conference in scoring.
She grew up in Dover, Delaware.
She was a member of the 2007 Shock who won the WNBA Eastern Conference Championship but lost in the finals to Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury.
