ABOUT TYRIQUE JONES

Basketball player and athlete who has played in multiple countries. He played for the Phoenix Suns during the summer 2021 season, and has also played in Korea, Turkey, Israel, Italy, and Serbia. He was part of the Second-team All-Big East team in 2020.

He started playing basketball while attending Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, Connecticut. As a college freshman, he started four games in the NCAA Tournament and helped Xavier reach the Elite Eight.

He is six feet and seven inches (6'7") or 2.01 meters. He was undrafted in the NBA 2020 Draft. Jones was considered a four-star recruit by ESPN and Rivals, and a three-star recruit by 247Sports. On June 29, 2015, he committed to play college basketball for Xavier over offers from Florida State, Cincinnati and Texas Tech, among other high major programs.

He grew up in Bloomfield Connecticut. His mother emigrated with her brother from Jamaica to Connecticut at age 11, and his father was born in The Bahamas to Jamaican parents.
