ABOUT VERNON CAREY JR.

Center who committed to play for the Duke Blue Devils as part of the high school class of 2019. He was rated as a consensus five star recruit and top player in his class coming out in 2019.

He was an immediate standout as a freshman high school basketball player at University School of Nova Southeastern University in 2015.

He played at the McDonald's All-American, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoop Summit games in 2019. He led the US U-16 squad to the FIBA Americas U-16 Championship gold medal in 2017.

His father is former NFL offensive tackle Vernon Carey.

He and Cole Anthony played together at the 2019 McDonald's All-American Game as top high school basketball recruits.
