Victor Bailey

ABOUT VICTOR BAILEY

Bassist best known for his years as a member of the jazz fusion group Weather Report, with whom he played from 1982 to 1986. He went solo in the late 80's, releasing albums like Petite Blonde and Low Blow.

He was born in Philadelphia and Berklee College of Music in Boston.

He was barred from serving in the U.S. Navy due to his asthma.

His father is renowned saxophonist and composer Morris Bailey Jr.

He replaced Jaco Pastorius as the bassist for Weather Report.
