ABOUT VICTORY TISCHLER-BLUE
Several decades after serving as the bassist in the 1970s teen band The Runaways, she directed and produced a 2004 documentary film, Edgeplay, about her time in the all-female music group.
Performing under the stage name of Vicki Blue, she joined The Runaways in 1977 and contributed to the band's album Waitin' for the Night.
She served as a backing vocalist on the 1983 Girlschool album Play Dirty.
She spent her early years in Newport Beach, California. Her The Runaways band "family" included Cherrie Currie, Joan Jett , and Lita Ford .
An actress as well as a musician and film director, she played the role of Cindy in the 1984 Rob Reiner -directed rock mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap.
