Rose to prominence in May of 2016 after it was revealed that he is the biological father of renowned R&B singer Keyshia Cole .

His daughter, Keyshia Cole, resulted from his relationship with Cole's biological mother, Francine Lons.

He initially gained notoriety as a boxing trainer long before it was revealed he was Keyshia Cole's father.

He has another daughter in addition to Keyshia named Angela Hunter.

A successful boxing coach, he has trained boxing sensation Andre Ward .
