
Vladimir Clementis
ABOUT VLADIMIR CLEMENTIS
Prominent member in the Czechoslovak Communist Party, who was also a literary critic and lawyer. He served as Foreign Minister of Czechoslovakia from 1948 to 1950.
He became a Communist MP in 1935 and before the beginning of the World War II, in 1938, he emigrated to Paris.
He was hanged after the Slánský trial, which was a show trial against elements of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia.
He was married to Lída Pátková.
He and Milan Hodza were both Slovak politicians.
