ABOUT WAYNE BLAIR
Australian writer, actor, entertainer, performer, artist, and director who is best known for being the director of the feature film The Sapphires. He has also had acting roles in projects such as Mystery Road and Redfern Now.
He worked as a tour guide at Rockhampton's Dreamtime Cultural Centre. He graduated with a marketing degree from Central Queensland University. He also briefly went to Sydney to play rugby league for the Canterbury Bulldogs under-21s.
In the year 2015, he was nominated for Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Award in the Best Lead Actor in a Television Drama category for his role as Aaron Davis in Redfern Now. Prior, he completed a three-year course at the Queensland University of Technology in acting.
He is the son of Bob and Julie Blair. He has two older sisters named Janet and Mandy.
She starred alongside Colin Donnell and PJ Byrne in the television series Irreverent.
