ABOUT WAYNE WILSON
Running back who played for the New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings, and Washington Redskins from 1979 to 1987.
He played at Shepherd University in West Virginia, before being selected in the 12th round of the 1979 NFL Draft by the Houston Oilers.
After retiring from the NFL, he returned to his alma mater, Shepherd University, where he became a wide receivers coach for the school's football team.
He married Barbra Wilson, and the two moved to Shepherdstown so that he could coach.
As a member of the New Orleans Saints, he played alongside quarterback Archie Manning .
