ABOUT WES BROWN
British soccer defender who played for the Sunderland Association and Manchester United Football Clubs. With the latter team, he earned two Football Association (FA) Challenge Cups and three Football League Cups.
He began playing for the youth division of Manchester United in 1996. Two years later, he debuted on the club's senior team.
He played on the England and England Under-21 National Teams.
He grew up in Manchester, England playing soccer for the Fletcher Moss Rangers team. He married reality star Leanne Brown in 2010.
He and fellow footballer Michael Owen , born in the same year, both played for Manchester United.
