ABOUT WILLIAM CANNON

Member of the Democratic and Republican Party who served as Governor of Delaware from 1863 to 1865, and in the Delaware General Assembly.

He worked in his father's merchandising business and was the Director of the Delaware Railroad.

He was considered the wealthiest man in Sussex County in 1864.

He married Margaret Ann Baker, and together they had six children.

He was a politician who represented Delaware like Joe Biden .
