ABOUT WILLIAM JOHN PULTE
Entrepreneur who was known as the founder and chairman of PulteGroup, one of the largest home construction and real estate development companies in the United States.
He attended De La Salle Collegiate High School, where he played varsity basketball and football, and ran track.
In 1956, he founded William J. Pulte Inc. He died at his home in Naples, Florida at the age of 85. He built his first subdivision in 1959.
He had 14 children with first wife. He married his second wife, Karen Koppal in 1993.
He and Jawed Karim are both entrepreneurs.
