English composer and producer of many hit albums, including Ray of Light by Madonna, 13 by Blur, and Saints and Sinners by All Saints.

He left school at age fifteen and did not receive a formal education thereafter.

He won three Grammys as a result of his collaborations with Madonna.

Both of his parents worked as schoolteachers.

He produced the Britney Spears track Alien.
