ABOUT WILLY LINDWER
Documentary filmmaker whose film The Last Seven Months of Anne Frank won the International Emmy Award in 1988.
He studied at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy and worked for various Dutch TV stations.
He founded the company AVA Productions and served as the head of Terra Film Productions, both of which were dedicated to producing high-quality documentaries.
His parents fled Poland and Ukraine in the 1930s and settled in Amsterdam.
His documentary The Last Seven Months of Anne Frank featured interviews with those who were witnesses to the last months of Frank's life in Nazi concentration camps.
