ABOUT WOLFGANG BECKER
German director and filmmaker of the internationally acclaimed film Goodbye Lenin! and the Golden Leopard-nominated film Butterflies.
He started working as a freelance cameraman in 1983.
He was a member of the jury at the Venice Film Festival in 2004.
His father was also named Wolfgang Becker.
He and Cloud Atlas director Tom Tykwer collaborated on the film Life is All You Get.
