ABOUT XAVIER JOHNSON

Collegiate point guard that first enrolled into the University of Pittsburgh as a freshman in the year 2018. Following that season, he was named to the ACC All-Freshman team. He later transferred to Indiana University in the year 2021.

He is a graduate of Bishop O'Connell Private High School. He scored 1,034 points during his high school career.

He averaged 15.5 points as a freshman, which led all Pittsburgh players. By doing so, he became the first Pitt freshman to lead his team in scoring since the 1980s. On April 3, 2022, he was arrested in Bloomington, Indiana for reckless driving and resisting arrest. He later remarked, "I thought my career was over, honestly. I got my second chance. I'm mad at myself for doing something like that, but I'm glad God gave me a second chance to come back and play, what I love to do."

Growing up, he lived with his parents in the Woodbridge, Virginia area. He is one of four siblings.

He was coached by Mike Woodson while at Indiana.
