ABOUT YARIV GIDEON LEVIN

Lawyer and politician who has served Israel as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice. From 2020-2021, he served as Speaker of the Knesset. He is a member of the Likud party, known for its right-wing and right-center policies. He has also served the government as Minister of Internal Security, Minister of Tourism, and Minister of Aliyah and Integration.

He attended the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he began his political activities.

Benjamin Netanyahu helped advance his career in 2006, by appointing him to a committee.

He was born in Jerusalem. His parents are Gail and Aryeh Levin, an Israel Prize laureate for linguistics.

Ariel Sharon co-founded the Likud party.
