ABOUT YASUTAKA NAKATA
Japanese DJ and music producer who rose to fame for his songwriting and production work with girl-group Perfume, and also pop singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu . He has collaborated with numerous other artists, including Crystal Kay , Seiko Matsuda , and Ringo Sheena . In 2018, he released his debut solo album, Digital Native.
He formed the electronica band, Capsule, in 1997.
His song "Nanimono," featuring Kenshi Yonezu , has racked up more than 10 million streams on Spotify. He collaborated with fashion designer Kate Sakai on the short-lived electronica project, Coltemonikha. A number of his videos on YouTube have racked up hundreds of thousands of views, while some have also exceeded the 1 million mark. The video for his track "Nanimono" has racked up more than 30 million views.
He is from Kanazawa, Japan.
