Yeferson Quintana

ABOUT YEFERSON QUINTANA

Central defender who has risen to fame for his play in the Uruguayan Primera División for Peñarol. He signed with the squad in 2016, and scored his first goal in 2017.

He began his youth soccer career in the youth academy of Deportivo Tropezón Board between 2011-2013. He later moved to Peñarol's youth system between 2013-2016.

He was transferred to the MLS' San Jose Earthquakes for the 2018 season. He scored his debut MLS goal in 2018.

He was originally born and raised in Bella Unión, Uruguay.

He and Chris Wondolowski have played as teammates for the San Jose Earthquakes.
