Yuta Nakayama

ABOUT YUTA NAKAYAMA

Professional center-back and left-back that first began his club soccer career with Kashiwa Reysol of the Japanese J1 League in the year 2015. After three seasons with Kashiwa, he joined the clubs PEC Zwolle and Huddersfield Town A.F.C.

He initially discovered his passion for soccer as a young boy growing up. He eventually began playing for the Kashiwa Reysol Youth Club as a teenager in the year 2011.

While playing for Kashiwa Reysol, he was named the 2017 J. League Rookie of the Year. He ultimately played in 30 different matches during his rookie season. He has also made appearances as a member of the Japanese men's national team. He stands 5'11" tall.

He grew up living with his family in Ryūgasaki, Japan.

He has played alongside Takumi Minamino as a member of the Japanese men's national team during his professional soccer career.
