Quarterback who gained wide recognition during his collegiate career with the Brigham Young University Cougars. He was selected 2nd overall in the 2021 NFL Draft by the New York Jets .

He played high school football for Corner Canyon High School in Utah.

He was named the MVP of the 2018 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl following BYU's win. He was then named the team's MVP following the 2019 Hawaii Bowl.

His parents' names are Lisa and Michael. He has two sisters and three brothers. In 2022, he began dating model Nicollette Dellanno . The couple announced their engagement in June 2024.

He was a top quarterback prospect for the 2021 NFL Draft alongside Justin Fields‏ and Trevor Lawrence .
