ABOUT ZAID ALKHAS
Jordanian retired basketball player most known for being the captain of the Jordan national basketball team from 1997 to 2011. He helped bring the team to Jordan's first ever Basketball World Cup in 2010. After retiring in 2011, he went on to be to the assistant coach for the national team at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.
He began his professional career playing for Al Ahli club of Jordan.
He was awarded the Top Scorer in Asia championship Harbin China 2003, averaging 23.5 points per game. In 2006, he was awarded Best Arab Player.
He and his wife Ghounwa have a son and daughter together.
He and Wael Arakji are both famous Arab basketball players.
